New Environment Foundation was formed in September of 1987, by
a group of people who were concerned about the environment and
who had a genuine love about the land we live on. The goal of
this organization is to create a new environment in which the
mankind and all other creatures will respect each other and co-exist.

of this foundation are:

Ensures
our government places environmental protection policies ahead
of economic development, have in place a sound environmental
protection regulations and strictly enforces them. |

Holds
environmental protection conferences and seminars |

Contacts
environmental protection organizations in various cities and
gathers forces to protect the environment. |

Receives
complaints for violations, assists in environmental protection
disputes. |

Establishes
environmental protection data bank, provides various consultation
services. |

Promotes
environmental protection education and holds various related
activities. |
(7) |
Organizes
environmental protection camps for school principals and teachers
to ensure the practicality of environmental protection education
in schools. |

Publishes
"New Environment Monthly" and various environmental protection
books. |
(9) |
Assembles
and trains environmental protection volunteers and assists
in promoting environmental protection activities. |
¡@¡@Because
the New Environment Foundation is so persistent on environmental
protection, it is a major member of the Anti-Tobacco Alliance.
It closely monitors the legislation and execution of tobacco control
and prevention laws, with the hope of increasing our fellow citizens'
understanding about the danger of tobacco products, so they may
stay clear of the tobacco products and regain their health.
